On Saturday, October 16^th the Ruthless Ones came back from the dead and played a show to raise money for the fight against cancer. The underground Toronto ska punk legends the Ruthless Ones, along with other bands including The A Listers and Lois Lane, held an event at Lola’s called Party To Fight Cancer. The night was packed with great tunes, dancing, and a whole lot of fun.

After being on hiatus for a couple of months, the Ruthless Ones returned to the scene. It was about time for the band to resurface in the scene and come back for a great cause. The set was packed with a mix of older songs and new to provide a happy and fun environment for all. Their covers of “Bullet” by the Misfits and “Unity” by Operation Ivy were so tight that it felt as though the actual bands where there performing it themselves. The lead singer made the crowd laugh with clever jokes while also making sure that everyone knew that they were there to aid the battle against cancer. “It’s so awesome that everybody came out tonight. It has been a tonne of fun and it’s so important that everybody joins the fight against cancer,” said the lead singer of Ruthless Ones.

The Ruthless Ones were the highlight of the night, though the A Listers put on a decently entertaining show. The opening band of the night, Lois Lane is a new band that put on a great show. The tunes were groovy and well put together. The energy of the whole night was amazing and sustained the whole time.

It was a great show for an important cause and everybody in the audience was dancing and singing along to the fun tunes, which made for a good night.
